MUSE is a MIDI generator plugin that writes chord progressions, melodies, rhythm parts, basslines and four-track clips inside your DAW. Pick a key, scale, genre, chord color and feel, press Generate, edit the result in its piano roll, then drag the MIDI to Serum, Kontakt or any instrument you already own.
VST3 on Windows, VST3 and AU on Mac. The free trial has no time limit; dragging or exporting the MIDI needs a license ($39 launch price until November 15, 2026, then $49).

How
From empty clip to a full idea
Put MUSE on a MIDI track and choose Key, Scale, Genre, Chord Color and Feel.
Press Generate for a progression with melody, rhythm, bass and pad parts that share its harmony.
Lock what you like (rhythm, contour, harmony or groove) and regenerate the rest.
Build clips A to D in the Workspace for a verse, a chorus and variations.
Drag or export the MIDI, or route it live on MIDI channels 1 to 16 to your own instruments.

What to know first
MIDI, not audio
MUSE makes MIDI notes. The built-in sound is only a preview.
No chord detection
MUSE writes new parts and can transform a .mid you load (Re-imagine). It doesn't detect chords from audio. How MUSE compares with Scaler 3.
No Pro Tools
VST3 on Windows, VST3 or AU on Mac. There's no AAX version.

Common questions
Is MUSE AI?
MUSE generates parts from the musical choices you make (key, scale, genre, chord color, feel and rhythm). It runs fully offline on your computer, with no account and no telemetry.
Which DAWs does MUSE work in?
Any VST3 host on Windows 10 or 11, and VST3 or AU hosts on macOS 11 or later (Intel and Apple Silicon). Setup notes for Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, REAPER and Cubase are in the user guide.
Does the trial expire?
No. Every control, the Workspace, the piano roll and Re-imagine work for as long as you like. Dragging or exporting the MIDI needs a license.
